Day #18 - An Extra Hour

Monday's ride from the Knoxville area to Pikeville, TN began with a visit with a friend of Kevin's older brother, Bobby.  Andrew Patrick Murphy, who was in the Service with Bobby, has known Kevin since he was in diapers (Kev was actually a lot more colorful in his description for the NEED for diapers but I figured I'd tone that down!)  It was great catching up with a life-long Harrington family friend.
Before leaving for the day a local Vietnam veteran stopped by to wish the team well and then they were off and pedaling!
During the day Kevin and Emi crossed the Tennessee River twice.
The first crossing in Loudon then again in Decatur.
They ended the day after 85.7 miles in Pikeville, TN, and along the way gained an hour as they passed into the Central Time Zone.  Thanks to Officer Dan, they spent the night at the fairgrounds across from the county jail!  Don't worry - Kevin behaved himself - no get out of jail free card needed!

Well Kev it only took me 18 days to figure out how to change our name and make it correct to Dan and Pat, not Dan & amp;Pat

I'm sure there must be some kinky word for diaper freaks....I'll look for that & a box of Pampers for your homecoming..
