Day #23 - Kosciusko

Day #23 started with a good-bye to Shannon, MS, where the group stayed the night before at an RV campground owned by a retired Marine Sergeant and his wife who call this cozy little house home.
Back on the Natchez Trace Parkway, they rolled through beautiful scenery and occasionally through areas damaged by the Super Outbreak of tornadoes back in April of this year.
89 miles later, they stopped for the night in Koscuisko, MS.  This town is named after the same man as the Koscuisko Bridge on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway  - Tadeusz Koscuisko, a Polish volunteer who was a General in the American Revolutionary War.
Jim met up with the manager of the Koscuisko-Attala County Airport who offered a spot next to his house, and the airport, to camp for the night.  This is a first - camping at an airport. Alan, the manager, went out to dinner with Kevin, Emi and Jim last night and offered to take everyone for a spin in his plane before leaving Sunday morning!  Looking forward to some aerial shots for Day #24's post!  Thanks Alan!!!
The plan for Sunday, after the flight, is to ride approximately 70 miles to Jackson, MS where on Monday a new member will be joining the team.  Stay tuned...
